Volunteering at Karma Kitchen
Thank you for your interest in serving with us. Currently, Karma Kitchen Berkeley is on retreat -- to advance! These intentional breaks are a part of our practice. Every so often we hit pause on this thriving experiment in generosity so our coordinators can reflect on what has been created and brainstorm ways to evolve it. We are very grateful to the thousands of volunteers who have kept this amazing chain of generosity going and growing ever since 2007. Thanks to them Karma Kitchen is now a leader in the pay-it-forward space and is often looked to for new designs and models driven by generosity and inner transformation. There are many new ideas bubbling to the surface! We don't know exactly what this retreat will yield, but during this period our coordinators are asking exciting questions about how we can push the envelope and deepen the generosity experience -- not just for Karma Kitchen guests but as part of a broader movement that people all over the world can participate in.
